Municipal Library Tábor is located in South Bohemia. Tábor is the second largest town in this region and attracts many visitors with its historical part, cultural events and the beautiful landscape of the Lužnice River. The library is a universal public library that serves as a municipal library with four branches in Tábor. Since 2018, the library has also operated an observatory on the top floor of the library building in Jiráskova Street. In addition to lending books and providing information services, the library also organises cultural and educational events for the general public. It is a meeting place and makes its premises available for community events.
The library is temporarily located on Žižka Square 10, and the building in Jiráskova Street is currently under reconstruction.

The use of the library is free of charge, an ID card is not required.
To borrow books and other items from the library, you must register. You must bring your identity card with you. The registration fee for adults is CZK 150 for one year, for children CZK 50 for one year.
The library offers public internet access and free Wi-Fi.
The library regularly offers Czech language lessons.
Counselling for foreigners conducted by CPIC. See your programme.
The librarian will help you, provide additional information, arrange contacts and put you in touch with other institutions you may need.
