Municipal Library Tábor is located in South Bohemia. Tábor is the second largest town in this region and attracts many visitors with its historical part, cultural events and the beautiful landscape of the Lužnice River. The library is a universal public library that serves as a municipal library with four branches in Tábor. Since 2018, the library has also operated an observatory on the top floor of the library building in Jiráskova Street. In addition to lending books and providing information services, the library also organises cultural and educational events for the general public. It is a meeting place and offers its premises for community events.
The library is temporarily located on Žižkovo náměstí 10. The building in Jiráskova Street is currently under reconstruction.

The library is free to use, no badge required.
To borrow books and other items from the library you need to register. To do so, you need to bring your ID card. The registration fee for adults is 150 CZK for 1 year, for children 50 CZK for 1 year.
The library provides public access to the internet and free wi-fi.
The library regularly offers Czech language lessons and consultations for foreigners held by CPIC. See your programm.
The librarian will help you, provide additional information, find contacts, and connect you with other institutions you need.
